Eating with you eyes, Then your Stomach

Haven’t you always wanted to learn how to make your food at home look as pretty as it does at the restaurant? Haven’t you always wanted to show off to your friends? Well, in this class we will discuss all the details that are needed when plating a beautiful dish.

Chef Omar FloresTo make it even more enjoyable, we will have not only Chef Tre Wilcox, but also Chef Omar Flores (Owner and Executive Chef of Casa Rubia and Whistle Britches and multiple James Beard Award nominated chef), an elite Dallas Chef,  teach you all you need to know.

This is a special class to attend!!

Chef Tre and Chef Omar will each instruct two teams of 4. You will have a set menu (TBD) to cook, but before you do, you will learn all about selecting ingredients based on colors, selecting the appropriate platewear, and composing the perfect dish when finished cooking.

Here’s where it gets fun! All four teams will compete to see who delivers the best composed dish, first by the way it looks, then by the way it tastes!

TRE Hands-On Classes

Participate in making everything on a 3-course menu, working in three small groups. Your team will be responsible for prepping and plating one course. Chef Tre will always lead one team and qualified chefs who have been given Chef Tre’s stamp of approval will lead the other two teams. This person teaches the techniques needed to prepare the dish, and knows how to have fun just as much as Chef Tre does.

Classes are offered for both adults and children, and average 16 students per class. All of the ingredients, tools and recipes are provided. Aprons are not supplied, but you may bring your own or purchase an embroidered TRE Cooking Concepts apron.
